Contributed to the restoration of the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee (1989) and is a Member of the General Assembly of the Committee. Founder and Head (before his election to the Seimas), Palanga Health School, with more than 31,000 Lithuanian and foreign graduates from 15 countries in over 500 graduating classes between 1990 and 2016. Organised over 200 various courses around Lithuania. President, Lithuanian Union of Healthy Lifestyle Supporters (1990–2016); Member of the Council, Lithuanian Public Health Association and Lithuanian Association Sportas visiems (Sport for All); Member, American Public Health Association; Member, European Group for Research into Elderly and Physical Activity; Honorary Member of the Presidium, Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Made presentations in Israel, USA, Russia, Uruguay, Spain, Sweden and Finland; organised trainings in the Baltic States, Norway, etc.; held world’s biggest winter-bathing events; coached Petras Silkinas, 1,000-mile distance world champion and Guinness world record owner; taught numerous healthy lifestyle trainers; organised several hundred events on healthy lifestyle; founded more than 60 healthy lifestyle clubs in Lithuania and the Lithuanian Health Chamber.
