Belarusian opposition leader, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, to address the Seimas

On Tuesday, 24 May 2022, at 2 p.m., Belarusian opposition leader, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, will address the Lithuanian MPs.
On 21 May, Belarusians commemorate the Political Prisoner’s Day, while 23 May 2022 marks a year since the memorable day when Alexander Lukashenko’s regime forced a civilian plane flying from Athens to Vilnius to land in Minsk and detained several passengers on the flight, one of whom –Sofia Sapiega – was sentenced to six years of imprisonment by the Lukashenko court. In addition, 29 May 2022 will mark two years since Tsikhanouskaya’s husband was arrested. This year, he was sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment.
