Speaker of the Seimas congratulates the Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann

Saulius Skvernelis, Speaker of the Seimas, has extended his congratulations to Verona Murphy, Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann, on assuming her new duties in the 34th Dáil.

‘Lithuania and Ireland are two small European countries, but experience has shown that we work better when we cooperate more closely for the benefit of our peoples. I therefore hope that our Parliaments will continue to cooperate through practical and mutually beneficial means,’ Mr Skvernelis wrote in his letter of congratulations. 

The Speaker of the Seimas also wished Ms Murphy every success and perseverance in fulfilling the interests and expectations of her country and its people.
