An old Belarusian toy-horse presented by Volha Karach to the Lithuanian Parliament

At the extraordinary session of the Seimas, on 18 August 2020, Volha Karach, Head of the Belarusian human rights organisation Nash Dom (Our House), presented an old Belarusian toy-horse to the Lithuanian Parliament as a symbolic appeal of the children of Belarus to the Lithuanian Parliament.

‘I wanted my children to have an ordinary, peaceful childhood. Unfortunately, my children cannot stay aside today. They came to the Parliament, to this session, to represent all the Belarusian children, who had been beaten, mutilated, and otherwise abused by the Belarusian authorities, and to demand help on their behalf. Today, it is my children rather than me who are asking you to save Belarus,’ said Volha Karach, Head of the Belarusian human rights organisation Nash Dom, at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
