The touch of that winter

‘We are very happy to open our premises again to those who are interested in the work and the history of the Parliament and we are ready to receive safely every visitor who has arrived,’ says Rūta Petaraitienė, Director of the Information and Communication Department. ‘We present a new exhibition titled The touch of that winter that is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the defence of the restored independence of Lithuania. It displays the things from the repository of the Lithuanian National Museum that were donated or given away to Vytautas Landsbergis, President of the Supreme Council of the Supreme Council. They include works of art, symbols of the Christian faith, and souvenirs that bore some exceptional meaning at that time representing signs of deep faith in and love for the Homeland,’ noted the Director.
