Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Australia on its National Day

On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated the Commonwealth Parliament of Australia on Australia Day, the national holiday. In her letters to Sue Lines, President of the Australian Senate, and to Milton Dick, Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives, Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen underlined the ever growing bilateral relations between Lithuania and Australia.

‘The parliamentary dialogue between our two states also contributes to a stronger mutual partnership and multifaceted cooperation. Although geographically far apart, we will strengthen the democratic world and protect it from today’s challenges by engaging in discussions and drawing on each other’s experience,’ the congratulatory letters read.
