Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Greece on Greek Independence Day

On behalf of the Seimas and her own, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, extended her congratulations to Constantine An. Tassoulas, President of the Hellenic Parliament. On the occasion of Greek Independence Day, the Speaker of the Seimas wished success to the Hellenic Parliament and the people of Greece in building prosperity in their country.

‘Lithuania and Greece are partners in the framework of the European Union and NATO and work actively together in other international formats. I am convinced that the focus of the Members of both Parliaments on today’s challenges and aspirations towards a secure future will contribute to the development of cooperation between Lithuania and Greece on the most important matters for our countries and their people,’ reads the letter of congratulations by Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen.
