Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Slovenia on Independence Day

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Urška Klakočar Zupančič, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, on Independence Day and extended her wishes for every success and productive endeavours to the National Assembly as well the wishes for wellbeing, prosperity and harmony to the country and its people.

‘Lithuania and Slovenia have taken very similar paths, from the dramatic struggle for independence to the restoration of statehood and integration into the European Union and NATO. I sincerely hope that the inter-parliamentary cooperation will continue to develop successfully and that our countries will support each other’s positions at international level,’ the congratulatory letter reads.
