Speaker of the Seimas congratulated the Slovenian Parliament on Statehood Day

On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Urška Klakočar Zupančič, President of the National Assembly, and Marko Lotrič, President of the National Council, on Statehood Day of the Republic of Slovenia.

According to the Speaker of the Seimas, Lithuania appreciates the cooperation between Slovenia and Lithuania within the European Union, NATO, and other international organisations and is grateful for Slovenia’s role in enhancing the security of the Baltic States.

‘I sincerely believe in further successful development of the cooperation between the Parliaments of Slovenia and Lithuania and in our potential in pursuing common goals to ensure the security and stability in the EU and its neighbourhood’, the congratulatory letters read.
