Speaker of the Seimas congratulated Slovakia on Constitution Day

On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Members of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and Boris Kollár, Speaker of the National Council, on Constitution Day. Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen wished the Slovakian Parliament every success and unity.

‘I believe that by working hand in hand, we can build a strong and united Europe capable of responding to the challenges of today,’ the Speaker’s letter reads.

The congratulatory letter also called attention to the cooperation between Lithuania and Slovakia both in the European Union and NATO.

 ‘Our countries have a shared approach to Europe’s security challenges. I am certain that the Lithuanian and Slovakian parliaments will continue their successful cooperation on key issues,’ Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen wrote.
