Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Armenia on Independence Day

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, has congratulated the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia under the leadership of Alen Simonyan on Armenia’s Independence Day and wished him strength at this difficult time.

‘We are deeply concerned over the military aggression in Nagorno-Karabakh and offer our sincere condolences over the resulting deaths and injuries. We will work to ensure that the use of military force is immediately ended, that the commitments are honoured, and that the international community takes action to overcome the humanitarian crisis,’ the letter by Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen reads.
