Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Germany on Unity Day

Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated the German Bundestag and Ms Bärbel Bas, President of the German  Bundestag, on Unity Day. In her letter of congratulations, the Speaker of the Seimas commended the mutual trust-based German-Lithuanian relations at the parliamentary and other levels.

‘The society in Lithuania greatly appreciates the cooperation with Germany and your country’s determination to create a secure future in a responsible manner, and the role of Germany in strengthening the security of Lithuania and the Baltic Sea Region as well as the value-based concerted action of the European Union, the North Atlantic Alliance and the international community,’ Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen underlined in her letter of congratulations.
