Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Spain on National Day

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, has extended her congratulations to Pedro Rollán, Speaker of the Senate, and Francin Armengol, Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain, on the occasion of National Day. The Speaker of the Seimas conveyed her wishes of every success in implementing the planned agenda and attaining the set goals at this important period of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

‘Spain and Lithuania are like-minded countries engaged in friendly political dialogue. We closely cooperate at both bilateral and multilateral levels. The Seimas is willing to further our parliamentary dialogue and to use the opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation’, the congratulatory letter reads.
