Speaker of the Seimas congratulates newly elected Marshals of the Polish Sejm and Senate

Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, has extended her congratulations on behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf to Szymon Hołownia on his election as Marshal of the Polish Sejm, and to Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska on her election as Marshal of the Polish Senate.

In her congratulatory letter, Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen took note of the close bilateral relations between Lithuania and Poland as well as the cooperation between the countries across a wide range of fields.

‘The projects we are working on together encourage us to engage in discussions and find common solutions, while our shared historical experience inspires us to support and learn from each other. I am confident that we will continue to actively develop our bilateral relations and exchange our best practice in order to achieve the same goal of building a secure, modern and prosperous state for its citizens,’ reads the congratulatory message by the Speaker of the Seimas.
