Use of the historical national (armorial) flag of Lithuania in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania

 

The historical national (armorial) flag of Lithuania is described in the Law on the National Flag and other Flags. The design and standard of the historical national flag of Lithuania are approved by the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania on the recommendation of the President of the Republic.  In accordance with the Law on the National Flag and other Flags, the historical national (armorial) flag of Lithuania is hoisted near the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania on:

  • 11 March – Day of Restoration of Lithuania’s Independence;
  • 15 May – Day of Convening of the Constituent Seimas;
  • 25 October – Day of the Constitution.

 

The historical national (armorial) flag of Lithuania is hoisted on the 24-hour basis:

  • Near Building 2 of the Seimas;
  • Near Building 3 of the Seimas.

 

The historical national (armorial) flag of Lithuania is displayed in the Seimas:

  • in the Hall of the Act of 11 March;
  • in the Constitution Hall;
  • in the Hall of the Baltic Assembly.
