Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Denmark on Constitution Day

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Henrik Dam Kristensen, Speaker of the Folketing of the Kingdom of Denmark, and all the people of his country on Constitution Day.

‘I wish every success to the Folketing of the Kingdom of Denmark in its endeavours to ensure a better future for the people of the country.

This year, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of establishment of the official bilateral relations and the 30th anniversary of resumption of the diplomatic relations between Denmark and Lithuania. I appreciate our close cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats. We shall seek to continue developing dialogue aimed at reinforcing mutual understanding and bring every benefit to the people of our countries,’ said the Speaker of the Seimas in her letter of congratulations.
