Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Azerbaijan on the 30th anniversary of independence

Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, on behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, congratulated Sahiba Ali ghizi Gafarova, Chair of the Mili Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic, and the people of the country on the 30th anniversary of independence.

‘This year also marks the 30th anniversary of official recognition by Azerbaijan of the restored independence of Lithuania. Over this period of time, our countries have achieved impressive results, developed bilateral relations and strengthened cooperation in a host of areas. By further fostering the relations between our institutions, business and science, we will seek to get to know each other even better and to ensure the safety and well-being of the people of our countries,’ said the Speaker of the Seimas.
