Chairs of the foreign affairs committees of the parliaments of Lithuania and other EU Member States call for immediate suspension of tourism from Russia

Today, Laima Liucija Andrikienė, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Seimas, together with the Chairs of the foreign affairs committees of the national parliaments of Estonia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Latvia, Poland and Finland, issued a joint statement on the introduction of further sanctions against Russia and a ban on tourist visas for Russian nationals.

In the statement, the MPs urge the Euro-Atlantic community and its partners to urgently tighten and implement comprehensive sanctions against the Russian Federation, increase military, financial, humanitarian and diplomatic support to Ukraine.

The Chairs of the committees also call on the EU Member States and other Western allies to immediately suspend tourism from the Russian Federation and to restrict the issuance of visas to nationals of the Russian Federation.
