Speaker of the Seimas congratulated the United Kingdom on the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated the UK House of Commons and its Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle on the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III. She extended her wishes of health and happiness to His Majesty and the Royal Family.   

The Speaker of the Seimas underlined that based on the common goals that Lithuania and the United Kingdom shared, our countries had been building an exceptional relationship of trust by developing and strengthening their bilateral ties, mobilising support for Ukraine, and cooperating within NATO.

‘In these turbulent times, your country’s firm stance on the war in Ukraine and unwavering support for Ukrainian people, who wish to live according to their will and democratic principles, deserves immense respect and admiration,’ the congratulatory letter reads.
