Speaker of the Seimas congratulated Hungary on National Holiday

Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, on behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, congratulated the Hungarian National Assembly on the national holiday of St. Stephen’s Day. In her congratulatory letter, the Speaker wished László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assembly, every success in meeting the expectations of the people of Hungary and defending fundamental democratic values.

‘We appreciate Hungary’s contribution to the security of our region. This contribution clearly demonstrates your country’s commitment to showing solidarity and supporting the deterrence and defence posture of the North Atlantic Alliance. We look forward to Hungary’s resuming the NATO Air Policing mission in Lithuania,’ Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen’s letter reads.
