Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Albania on Independence Day

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated the Assembly of the Republic of Albania on Independence Day. She extended the wishes of success to the Assembly in mobilizing the Albanian society and shaping the country’s future.

‘We highly appreciate the work done by your Assembly and the public institutions of the Republic Albania for reinforcing the transatlantic cooperation and integrating the country into the European Union,’ Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen stressed in her letter of congratulations.

The Speaker of the Seimas also highlighted that the efforts of the Albanian and Lithuanian Parliaments would significantly contribute to the strengthening of European security and democratic values and to further development of cooperation between the two countries.
