Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, on behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, congratulated Geoff Regan, Speaker of the House of Commons, and   George J. Furey, Speaker of the Senate, as well as all the Canadian people on Canada Day observed on 1 July.

“I take this opportunity to wish every success and creativity to you and the House of Commons under your leadership in the efforts to attain wellbeing for all Canadians and to address the national and international challenges,” says the letter to one of the heads of the Canadian Parliament.

Mrs Graužinienė highlighted her belief that the cooperation between the Parliaments of Lithuania and Canada would be successfully developed and that the two countries would remain strong partners in the framework of Trans-Atlantic cooperation.
